Frequently Asked Questions
How much Endosorb for my dog?
Weight-based dosing: 1) Under 15 lb – 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours initially then 8-12 hours; 2) 15-30 lb – 2-3 tablets; 3) 30-60 lb – 3-4 tablets; 4) Over 60 lb – 4-6 tablets. Give with or without food. Flavored tablets accepted readily. Maximum 2-3 days OTC use. Combine with bland diet (chicken + rice 1:2) and probiotics for best results. Vet visit if symptoms persist beyond 48-72 hours.
Endosorb vs Pro-Pectalin – which is better?
Both excellent. Both contain kaolin + pectin. Both SAFER than Pepto-Bismol. Pro-Pectalin ADDS probiotic (E. faecium) + L-glutamine for better gut flora restoration + intestinal cell repair. Endosorb is more basic kaolin-pectin formula. Pro-Pectalin slightly more comprehensive but more expensive. Endosorb cost-effective for simple cases. Both work for mild acute diarrhea + dietary indiscretion. Both safe with NSAIDs (unlike Pepto). Choose based on availability + preference.
Is Endosorb safe for dogs on NSAIDs?
YES – Endosorb is SAFE with NSAIDs (carprofen, meloxicam, Galliprant). No salicylates means no additive ulcer risk. Major advantage over Pepto-Bismol which has bismuth subsalicylate that increases GI ulcer risk when combined with NSAIDs. Common scenario: arthritic senior dog on carprofen develops mild diarrhea – Endosorb safe choice while continuing NSAID. Pair with bland diet + probiotic. Vet visit if symptoms persist beyond 2-3 days.
